MOTHER DRUCKER

Recently one of me mates opened a gallery/print house in Berlin; MOTHER DRUCKER (drucker = 'printer' Auf Englisch). Set in a GAWJUS old hair salon the gallery offers on site screen printing for all types of artistes as well as a space to display their work, which sets it apart from others in the city. As passionate screen printers they use the space to create their own art and of coursh, for emerging and established artists to "not just to display their work, but to share and collaborate, move and inspire".

Having still not visited it I keep up to date with what's going on by visiting their bloggle. An artist from the all female opening show last October which caught my eye was Sroop Sunar. Having lived in New Delhi during her teens she was inspired by Indian packaging. Here's some of my faves;

If you're into it (and live in or near Lunden) go check out her solo show 'The Golden Glassy', inspired by Brisitsh pub culture at The Arts Gallery, High Holborn before it ain't there no more (on until the 1st March). Limited edition prints available to buy ye.

PEAS.
